TAXATION

Rennie Smith & Company - Chartered Accountants in UK This includes both compliance work, where Corporation Tax Returns, Personal Tax Returns etc are submitted to HM Revenue & Customs and Financial Accounts are agreed with that body, and tax planning strategies where we forward plan our clients tax affairs based on the information available to us.

In the area of taxation, mitigation of liabilities is an important aspect of our advice to clients, especially in the area of Capital Gains Tax where personal and business circumstances are reviewed on an individual basis. Particularly as this can change dramatically each year, depending on current legislation.

Both Derek and June have extensive taxation experience in all areas of personal and business taxation and also in the area of Inland Revenue Investigations. Part of this experience was gained when working in the tax departments in some of the international accountancy firms. The practice also has a large library for reference purposes.

We use sophisticated software to prepare personal and business tax computations, Corporation Tax Returns, and Self-assessment Tax returns for individuals and partnerships. Thus tax returns can be submitted electronically by the 31 January each year and not the earlier 31 October for non-electronic returns.
